BNB Swap Verification: Confirm a Token Trade on BSC
To confirm a BNB Smart Chain token swap, check the transaction receipt and token transfer records; a chart or wallet balance alone cannot prove which trade happened.
How do I check whether the transaction succeeded?
Find the transaction hash in your wallet’s transaction history and open the matching record in a BNB Smart Chain block explorer. Check the network and sender address first, then read the receipt status: Success means the contract call completed; Fail means it reverted. A pending transaction has no final receipt yet.
Success does not by itself mean the swap delivered the token you intended. The receipt only reports the result of execution, so continue to the token transfer records. BNB Chain’s JSON-RPC documentation describes retrieving transaction receipts, while Ethereum’s JSON-RPC reference defines the receipt status as 1 for success and 0 for failure on EVM chains.
How do I verify the token and amount received?
In the transaction’s event logs or token transfers, find the output token’s contract address and the transfer to your wallet. Match the full address to a trusted source; token names and symbols can be copied by unrelated contracts. Read the amount after accounting for the token’s decimals, which set how its smallest units display.
For example, suppose you swap 0.1 BNB and the record shows 250 tokens transferred from the pool to your wallet. If the token uses 18 decimals, the raw value in the log is usually 250 × 1018; the explorer may already show the human-readable 250. A router can emit several transfers during one swap, so don’t add every transfer together. Identify the output token and the transfer whose recipient is your wallet.
What if the chart or balance does not match?
Use the transaction record to resolve the mismatch. A successful approval only grants a contract permission to spend tokens; it is a separate transaction from the swap. A failed swap may still consume gas, while a successful swap can deliver less than expected because of price impact, slippage, or a token’s transfer rules.
Compare the transaction’s block time, output contract, recipient, and amount with the wallet view. PooCoin’s price charts and wallet views can help you inspect BNB Smart Chain token prices and holdings around that activity, but the receipt and transfer events establish what the transaction recorded. Before you move on, check: correct network and sender, successful receipt, expected token contract, and output sent to your wallet. For the chart-and-wallet context around this task, see the PooCoin BNB Chain charts article.
